Our employees, associates, community members and commercial partners met up at Manchester’s Midland Hotel on November 4th 2021 to celebrate our 3rd birthday and catch up with colleagues and network. After almost two years of virtual meetings and home based working for many, it really was fantastic to finally meet face to face.
Our founders, Dave Chatham and Dave Jepson, kicked the evening off with a warm welcome and a short presentation outlining how two of our key principles – Integrity and Flexibility – had been absolutely central to our high levels of client satisfaction which in turn has driven our impressive revenue growth.
We then heard from our guest speaker, ‘applied futurist’ Tom Cheesewright, who gave us his take on how the metaverse will impact the future of work. Tom was really impressive, answering our questions covering every possible angle on how the metaverse will shape the world of business change in the coming years.
Finally, we heard from our charity partner, Emmaus UK, who introduced us to some of the ‘companions’ they were helping carve out new lives away from the streets. The charity runs a number of residencies across the UK, providing homes, work and training for homeless people as long as they need it. At the culmination of their presentation PiC presented a cheque for £10,550 and announced that PiC planned to extend our fundraising and pro-bono consulting partnership for a further year.
Overall, the evening flew by and we’ve since had enthusiastic feedback from those who attended. With such an incredible buzz in the room, in such an impressive venue and hearing from such engaging speakers, our problem now is how to top it all next time around!
